Tunisian crochet is a great way to relax and switch off from your busy day. You can use any wool you like, but I really like to use lots of colours, and I found a beautiful wool that changes colours for you! I was in a small local supermarket that had a few balls of wool, and the word ‘crypto’ caught my eye because I am interested in cryptocurrency. Once I looked at the colours in the wool I decided to buy a couple of balls and make a small blanket. Then I went back to get some more, and well, they were out of stock, so I googled it and found a few shops online that stock it. It’s called panda crypto 8 ply (gypsy colour). I saw a similar wool on amazon but i’m not sure if it’s the same. I have also seen it on ebay . Anyway, I thought I would make a youtube video on how to do this crochet pattern – you can see the youtube link below. I used around 2 and a half balls to make this blanket. It ended up being about 74cm x 74cm. I hope you enjoy making your project!
Below is a quick reference after you have watched the video of how to make the pattern
You will make a chain first, then first row. Then join your wool to the bottom right square and work your way up to the top left, filling in the gaps, and this row ( and others) will have less squares than the first. In the pictures below you will see the first row was 4 squares, the second row has 3 squares, the third row has 2 squares, and the last row has 1 square. You have now finished half of the blanket. You will now turn your work around and repeat the process until you have no more squares to fill in. You can finish with any type of border that you like.
